Rachel Goldman has represented clients and served as mediator in hundreds of cases involving complex legal and emotional issues.
Rachel specializes in collaborative family law, mediation, and settlement negotiation. Her family law practice includes all aspects of divorce and family law, including alimony, child support, custody, parenting plans, division of marital assets, post-divorce modifications, same-sex partnership dissolutions and divorce, prenuptial agreements, and post-nuptial agreements.
Rachel is listed in the book “Best Lawyers in America” and Boston Magazine’s “Top Women Attorneys in Massachusetts” and has been named a Super Lawyer in the areas of Family Law and Family Law Mediation. She is an AV preeminent rated attorney (Martindale-Hubbell highest rating). Rachel is a former President of the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council and was a Board member for over 13 years. Rachel is also a member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the Greater Boston Family Law Inn of Court. She is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School (J.D. cum laude) and Macalester College (B.A. magna cum laude).
In addition to her law and mediation practice, Rachel frequently teaches and presents to professional groups, law students, college students, and the public about divorce law, collaborative practice, mediation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Rachel recently relocated to Los Angeles, at which time she began representing clients and conducting mediation sessions remotely via Zoom and telephone. She travels to Boston as needed for in-person meetings and to present finalized Separation Agreements to the Court. This transition has been seamless for her existing clients and easy for her new clients to adjust to, especially in this unprecedented time as we battle the coronavirus.
When she’s not practicing law, Rachel is a passionate amateur gourmet cook and enjoys preparing meals and hosting gatherings with family and friends. She loves the outdoors, especially walking on the beach and hiking. She is married and the mother of three sons.
